Drop Spindle: This is a great place to start spinning! Drop spindle spinning is one of the oldest fiber art forms. If you're interested in learning to spin, but want to start with an affordable tool, this is the class for you. The class will prepare you to move into the beginning spinning wheel class!

Beginning Spinning Wheel: We will walk through how spinning wheels work, fiber types, and making your first 2-ply yarn. Wheels are available for loan.

Fiber Preparation Workshop: So, you have a fleece! What do you do with it now? In this workshop you will learn how to skirt a raw fleece and various cleaning methods. You will also have an introduction to preparing fibers with hand or flick carding and combing.

Classes sizes are limited for more individualized instruction. Click the link below each location for dates and registration.

Your Instructor:  Wendy Clark has had a love of fiber arts all her life from crochet, cross stitch and embroidery, knitting, quilting and spinning.
In 2016 she purchased her first wheel, took a beginning spinning class, and was hooked. Going deeper into yarn construction, she took a drop spindle class and dove into the history of spinning and raising sheep for fiber. Wanting to share all she was learning, Wendy offered her first class. In 2019, she began her six year journey to become a Master Spinner through  Olds College in Olds, Canada. She looks forward to continuing to share this ancient art.
